Renewable Energy and Hydrogen
About this Application
The hydrogen value chain requires solutions suited to its pressure, storage, transport, and end-use conditions. Prime Products provides technical integration of H₂ equipment and infrastructure according to each application’s requirements.
Key Technical Challenges
- Define safe solutions for high-pressure H₂ storage and transport
- Specify infrastructure for H₂ refueling stations
- Assess material compatibility and the risk of hydrogen embrittlement
- Size stationary storage according to pressure, capacity, and operating conditions
Prime Products Solutions
- Transport systems with Type 1 and Type 4 cylinders
- H₂ storage packages with Type 4 jumbo tubes
- Vessels and tanks for pressure ranges defined by the application
- Components and infrastructure for special and aerospace applications

Transport Systems (Tube Trailers)
Hydrogen transport requires the correct selection of the system, pressure vessels, and control devices. Solutions may include tube trailers fitted with Type 1 cylinders or Type 4 composite vessels, according to the capacity and project requirements.
- Configuration according to the technical and regulatory requirements applicable to transport and the operating location.
- Type 4 vessels can reduce system weight and increase useful transport capacity, depending on the selected configuration.

Super Large Capacity Stationary Storage
Stationary storage requires an assessment of pressure, capacity, operating cycles, and material compatibility. Solutions may include Type 4 jumbo tubes and pressure vessels specified for each application.
Pressure ranges presented in the portfolio:
- • 248 bar — storage vessels
- • 500 bar — storage
- • 700 bar — fuel tanks
- • 875 bar — storage

H2 Refueling Stations & Aerospace Applications
Applications range from H₂ refueling stations for fuel-cell vehicles to research facilities and aerospace applications.
Prime Products integrates regulators, valves, and instrumentation to meet the system’s specified leak-tightness, control, and purity requirements.
